Puppy blog #134: Riley’s Sleepover

woof woof! Hunter here! Writing to share pictures from Riley’s first sleepover in my home. The other night, the little brat followed my parents and I home without hesitation. She didn’t even bother to say goodnight to Auntie Connie that night because she was so excited.

As soon as she walked into the house, she made herself comfortable on MY bed! This is her staring at her own shadow on the wall. What a weirdo. (p.s. – mommy said to please disregard the messy drawers in this picture. She cleaned it this morning. I’m her witness.)
We wanted to play even when mommy turned the lights off and said that it was time for bed.   But being that I’m such a good boy.. I listened and went to bed. Riley, on the other hand stayed up a bit longer staring at the lights.     Shortly after, mommy asked me to sleep on my own bed. I’m too big to sleep on my parents’ bed.. especially with the addition of the brat. Riley, however, slept on the foot of their bed the entire night. Pros of being a smaller dog I suppose.
Here we are on our morning walk.  Then into the cars we went! Riley had trouble getting into the car even though our car is a sedan. She’s just too fat for her own good! Just kidding!

Our sleepover wasn’t too bad. It’s always a fun time when the two of us are together. I hope mommy lets Riley sleep over again soon. I’m sure Auntie Connie and grandma won’t protest that idea either. We gave them a day of rest! Hunter out.

Turning Three!

Hello friends! It was Hunter’s third birthday yesterday! Silly boy turned three! Or in doggie years, 21! *GASPS* Milestone!! It’s always special because Hunter shares the same birthday as his grandma! Yesterday night, we went over to my house to drop off a bouquet of flowers for my mommy.

Big smiles on the birthday kids’ faces.
Hunter gave grandma flowers, and grandma gave Hunter a lucky red envelope!
The lucky envelopes Hunter got for his birthday from grandma and great grandparents were added to his stash from the Lunar New Year.

Altogether Hunter has a good amount saved up. We’re trying to figure out what to do with all that money. We might put some aside to buy new toys for him. Last year we bought a cookie platter to our local police precinct for the holidays so we might do that again and perhaps donate the rest to a local no-kill shelter. We’ll figure it out! Until next time.

Puppy blog #133: The Real Beneficiary

woof woof! Hunter here. Mommy went out to dinner last night with Uncle Randy, some teammates and their sponsors. According to mommy, it was a delicious dinner!! Sadly, no dogs allowed! Oh wells. It wasn’t a bad thing because she came home with a gigantic tray of leftover T-bones! It was all for me! *cue instant drooling* A win-win situation. Of course, mommy has read all the hazards associated with giving dogs bones like these so any time I get a treat like this, I am always closely supervised. Plus she usually takes the bone away once she sees that I’ve gnawed off the meat.

Can you believe that this is all for me! So spoiled! Mommy soaked it in water several times before giving me one. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t just eat them all being that the whole tray for me..
Picking my bone for last night’s dinner. I picked the meatiest one!  I also made a mess in the kitchen which papa complained about but ultimately just stepped over while muttering “gross.” Mommy ended up cleaning up the floor after me. I love that you’re so helpful all the time papa.

I hope I get another bone tonight for dinner! Yum! Hunter out.
